"Researching Agriculture" is a computerized study program which deals with subjects in farming, such as:
- Crops
- Fertilizing
- Irrigation
- Conditions for sprouting and growth
- Pest control
- Apiculture [or bee-keeping]
- and other topics...
This program was developed by the Association for the Advancement of Science Education in Galilee, with much help and support from the Agricultural Inspectorate and Environmental Studies in the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, and with the financial support of the Boneh Tarara Fund, under the local management of Mr Yehuda Dekel.
The program is founded on independent research by the student, who chooses the his own topic to be studied. Some of the material is complex and requires supervision, guidance and advice of a teacher, whose presence is necessary at all stages of study.
The program contains many elements which will help the student is such matters as:
- Bibliography
- Instructions on independent research
- Lexicon of terms and organisms
- Methods of measurement and sampling.
