Day two
was the day we were dreading, with what is considered by
some to be the hardest part in the entire Israel Trail which is known as “Hakarbolet” (the rooster's crest).
We didn’t hike the whole Trail, but it was certainly the hardest part in our trek.
(You can get a vague notion from the picture)

Nonetheless we did it, and even managed to enjoy the views in the process.
| We went down in Wadi Mador |
 |
| And took a break by Mador Hill |

From there until the end of the day we walked on a monotonous dirt road to “Tzir Haneft” (oil pipe-line road). Ending our days with a long monotonous walk seemed to be a requiring trend during our trek, with only few exceptions.
We spent the night in Ein Akev Campground,
there was talk of rain to come.
