Day Three – there came Rain.
We were awoken at 5 a.m. with a few drops on our sleeping bags.
(It was the first time we began to wonder whether we made a mistake not taking a tent)
We quickly packed our backpacks, and decided to go up to Sede Boker and carry on a different course from there.
Another look at the clouds made us decide the exact opposite, and so on we went.
This not very timid bird was encountered in Ein Akev.
From there we walked (still in the Rain) to Ein Shaviv.
By the time we got closer it was already sunny, and this is how the Oasis first revealed itself to us. |
Down to the water, then back up a mountain, and for dessert a long monotonous walk (along “Tzir Haneft”) that brought us to Wadi Khava.
We were greeted by camels and about to experience the coldest, wettest (yet rainless) night of our whole trek.
Words cannot describe the Brrrr….
