The Association was founded in 1987 and is located in the building of Migal - Galilee Technological Center, in Kiryat Shmona. This research institute, with its large group of research scientist, laboratories and experimental farms, provides a base for the Association’s activities: the combination of active research, sophisticated equipment and working with scientists creates a unique environment for learning.

Enrichment of science education in the framework of the class and individually.
Training local teachers and supplementing their knowledge within and outside the curriculum.Scope of the Association:
The Association is currently active as a center for teaching, communication, systems development, guidance and supervision for tens of schools in Galilee, Golan, the Jordan Valley and other places in the country and abroad.It operates in Kiryat Shmona, Hatzor, Tzfat, Tiberias, Bet She’an, Ma’alot, Shlomi, Carmiel and Katzrin; in the settlements of the Regional Councils of Upper Galilee, Galilee Highlands, the Golan Heights, and Mevo’ot Hermon; in local Druze and Arab towns and villages.

Senior science teachers in the region were partners in the definition of the association’s aims from the outset. Currently, a large number of teachers participate in a wide range of activities, including creating teaching programs, operating experiment projects, student supervision, self-enrichment and updating.What is special about the Association?
The basis of the Association’s educational activities is placing the student at the center. The educational outlook of the Association involves the creation of a study environment based on self-study and responsibility, working with peers, developing scientific thinking, research work that integrates work with computers.An essential and special element is working with active research scientists in real and up-to-date R & D, as an integral part of the study environment.
