Sherman and Ted have known each other and worked together since they were graduate students at Berkeley. Uri and Sherman have together developed extracurricular programs for science-oriented youth in Israel. Ted and Uri met at a education conference in Sao Paulo and found that they had a lot in common. So it shouldn't be all that surprising that the three of them decided to organize an international workshop on the Art, Science and Technology of Learning Environments!
