| Position: | David Lloyd is the Director of Computer Communications Center, an English teacher, Manager and Webmaster of ETNI (English Teachers Network in Israel on the Internet) and Webmaster of The 21st Century Schoolhouse Project.
He has also been involved in a number of special projects such as setting up and running the computer communications for the 11th International Caretakers of the Environment Conference, which took place at Midreshet Sde Boker in June 1997. He is also the Technological Coordinator and Webmaster of the 21st Century Schoolhouse Project, a project in Environmental Education between six schools from six different continents. Hannah Sivan studied Physical Geography and Biology in the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and has a diploma in Aerial Photography Interpretation from the International Institute for Aerospace Survey and Earth Sciences in Enschde, Holland. Hannah was a member of the first team of the High School for Environmental Studies . She took part in the development of the unique Curriculum for Environmental studies in this school. Hannah has been a teacher for the last 20 years, most of them in the High School for Environmental studies in Sde-Boker, Israel. She teaches Geography, Biology, Guided Writing and Environmental Studies. In addition to teaching at the High School for Environmental Studies, Hannah is also the Pedagogical Head of the Computer Communications Center at Midreshet Ben Gurion. The High School for Environmental Studies is a boarding school for grades 9- 12 with students coming from all over Israel to benefit from the unique four year Environmental Program at the school. The school is located in Midreshet Ben Gurion in the middle of a desert area in Israel, above the riverbed of the Zin River Valley on a desert highland at an altitude of about 500 meters above sea level. Environmental education is a holistic, humanistic vision of education depicting the environment as a whole, aimed at developing knowledge, awareness and involvement of man in his physical, biological, human, social and national environment. The educational activity at the Midreshet Ben Gurion educational institutes is dependent on cooperation with the two university research institutes there. This makes it a highly important scientific and educational center, contributing to the quality of educaton, environment and life in Israel. |
